Three separate degrees were planned initially: BA Human Movement with Arts, BSc Human Movement and Science, BSc Human Movement: Sport and Recreation, but these were eventually assimilated into a structure for a degree with Human Movement Studies as a foundation and specific options of which the Sports and Recreation option was submitted to the Council for National Academic Awards for first consideration.
