Scope and Content

Between John Wardle of Manchester co Lancs, gent, for and on behalf of the Governors of the Hospital and Library in Manchester founded by Humphrey Chetham, and George Whitelegg, John Brenand, Thomas Brenand and James Brenand, all of Hammerton within the parish of Slaidburn co Yorks, husbandmen. [The agreement relates to the erection of new barns and shippens, which had already been completed at the time of the agreement being made.]
