Mrs. Margaret Jean Chamberlain worked in Northern Nigeria as ProvincialWoman Education Officer, Kabba and Illorin Provinces, 1950-1952, Principal,Women's Training College, Kabba, 1952-1957, and Acting, later SubstantiveInspector of Education (Women), 1957-1959. She served as Assistant Directorof Education (Women) and Deputy Chief Inspector, Uganda, 1959-1962.
