Scope and Content

From Rebecca Gwynne to Sarah Wesley. Their brother Marmaduke set off yesterday for Glamorganshire. Before he left he asked Rebecca to send his trunk on to the Wesleys' house in Bristol, where he will collect it. Sarah should pay Mr Wigginton for its transport and Marmaduke will settle the bill when he arrives. Rebecca would also like to know how much she and [Elizabeth] Waller owe Wigginton, as they were unable to 'have an account of it', before they left Bristol.

She is sure that Marmaduke will be very taken with Charles junior. She hopes that the boy will not be backward in playing for his music loving uncle.

Poor Sally Gwynne has lately been confined to bed with rheumatism, which malady [Elizabeth] Waller also suffers from.
