Work undertaken: Survey, sketch proposals, drawings, planning application, tendering, supervision re new two storey residence with single storey wings for garage and pool on land to south of Wootton Lodge and west of Waste Farm.
Note: A case was brought by the client Wootton Farms Limited against A.V. Shenton Ltd for defective joinery in 1996. The case was lengthy and resulted in an appeal by the plaintiff which then saw a suit brought against Francis Johnson & Partners. This appears to have been settled in Francis Johnson & Partner's favour. A bundle of copy court papers and solicitors correspondence relating to this matter was originally included in this file. For reasons of access restrictions under legal priviledge conditions the material would never have been made accessible to the public. There was therefore no research value to keeping the material. Note that one of the letters in this bundle referred to the fact that the correspondence file with A.V. Shenton Ltd had been sent to Mark Bamford's solicitors.
