He regrets not having seen E. M. J. and the U.S. He has just returned from a month's business trip to Wyoming and Utah. He was glad to return home to his wife Agnes whom he praises in the letter. He encloses a publication which the Chief Chemist and himself made this year. He also issued a new patient. He enquires about the Madoc Jones family, and often thinks of the old days. He describes their new bridge and mentions the election results with which he was very pleased.
