This subseries consists principally of cuttings and extracts from newspapers and periodicals, mostly from the Manchester Guardian, although there are also some manuscript drafts. These are all book reviews, or drafts of book reviews written by Alexander. The reviews are mainly of new books on philosophy, psychology, religion and science.
The cuttings are arranged chronologically, with undated items placed at the end.
