Scope and Content

Consists of:

- correspondence concerning the authority of the judge or magistrate to exclude officers of the court who are not directly required for conduct of the case. Also about the legal status of the probation officer with details of a probation officer being asked to leave the court from a case hearing 'in camera' in 1917

- correspondence asking for incidents where women have been asked to leave the court by the magistrate and correspondence with the Director of Public Prosecutions about this (1919)
