Scope and Content

a) 2 group photographs. 7 figures in each of which 5 common to both groups.

b) 2 copies of an engraving of Royton Hall co Lancs. J Swertner delt. Wilson sculpt. published 1794 by Stockdale.

c) Engraving of Chadderton Hall. E Dayes delt. Neuman sculpt. Published by Stockdale, 1794.

d) Photograph, much faded: unidentified mountain, lake, 2 islands with houses.

e) Engraved portrait of Thomas Sanders de Ireton, Com. Derb. Arm. nec non Equitum Tribunus. Balthr. Flessiers pinxt. Publd by W. Richardson, Castle Street, Leicester Fields.

f) Portrait of William Lambarde, Historian of Kent, 1536-1601. Page of a bookseller's catalogue.

g) Letter from J Wrenham, dated from Sutton Marsh, May 11th 1670, to the Duke of Richmond explaining what amounts of beans and oats he has delivered to his Grace's ship at Lyn, and what he has paid. The endorsement is noted (in pencil) as being by the Duke. Attached is a receipt dated 5th May, 1670, from Henry Layton, for oats and beans delivered on board the Richmond Hey, the Duke's ship, by Mr. Wrenham.

Letter from R Langhorne, dated No[v] 17. [16]53, to 'Madam' about a bill of charges.

h) Holograph letter from Frederick Henry Yates, dated from Hull, 2 Aug [1823] to Mr Cole, Printer, Scarborough, asking for bills and posters to announce his performance, admission 3 shillings.
