Messuage, tenement, 10 oxgangs and 4 small closes in Towthropp: who died 22 September 1597, his son & heir Thomas then being aged 10; also that T.M. challenged the Inquisition on the grounds that the premises were held of the manor of Sheriff Hutton in soccage at 1d. rent, and not by knight's service. The Court finds in favour of T.M.
