Scope and Content

Parties:

(1) Robert Seacoll of Milton, Shipton-under-Wychwood, yeoman

(2a) Francis Dringe of Brize Norton, yeoman,

(2b) Thomas Harris of Lyneham, yeoman

Property: messuage, cottage, backside, garden, paddock, croft, arable land and appurtenances in Milton Sandbrook - except for the three bays of houses adjoining the dwelling house known as the Malthouse.

Consideration: Marriage has been settled between (1) and his wife, Joane, in consideration of a 'competent sum of money'. The property is granted to (2) for the use of (1) and his heirs for the term of his natural life. After the decease of (1) and his wife the property to pass on for the use of Martha Goodinough of Milton, spinster, for the term of her natural life, and after her decease to be held in trust for 'such poor people within the county of Oxford' aforesaid commonly called in scorn by the name of Quakers.
