Horace Geoffrey Quaritch Wales was the pioneer of British archaeologist who worked in Thailand in the 19th - 20th century. Soon after he finished the study, he traveled to Thailand and work as the advisor to the courts of King Rama VI and King Rama VII between 1924 - 1928. He is the author of Siamese State Ceremonies , published in 1931, and Ancient Siamese Government and Administration , which was firstly published in 1934. Later, he increased his interest to Indian and other Southeast Asian cultures. He wrote Making of Greater India , published in 1974
