Booklet titled 'Bowmans Flour Technology 1857-2007 Generations of Innovation - Millstones and Milestones - The Story of Bowmans'. This is an updated version of WBMC-060 with much of the same text. An additional section on 'Facing the future' describes innovations at Whitley Bridge where there was sufficient extra land to build an advanced heat treatment plant in 1992 to produce chemically inactive flour to closely controlled specifications. These were marketed through Bowman Ingredients, 'a division dedicated to devising new recipes and tailor made products for the food industry', and the new products included coating systems making batters, seasonings, glazes, marinades and dustings, mostly cereal based.
