Enclosed is a newspaper cutting containing a report of the annual meeting of the Manchester Agricultural Society, held on 7 August, at which Lord Stamford's letter was read out. It was resolved to present Lord Stamford with the thanks of the meeting and a gold medal in recognition of his long service as president.
