The bundle contains an assortment of papers relating to the Stamford estates in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire. They include schedules of leasehold property (EGR3/7/1/4/7, /11-13, /17), schedules of estate income (EGR3/7/1/4/6, /26, /27), correspondence relating to the estate (EGR3/7/1/4/3, /8-10, /14-16), and papers relating to settlements (EGR3/7/1/4/19-21).
A modern paper label is inscribed: "Papers relating to the Estate in Lady Mary Booth's time, subsequent to her marriage in 1736" (written in the hand of the 10th Earl of Stamford).
