Letter (1 May [c 1890-1892]) from George Goschen written as Chancellor of the Exchequer. He informs Agnew that the Government is appointing a "Committee to consider the whole question of the organization of a Gallery for British Art in connection with the munificent gift of Mr Tate." Goschen asks if Sir William would consider serving as a member of the Committee.
