Scope and Content

MEMORANDUM OF RECOGNIZANCE: of Hugh Thomas, labourer of Gwalchmai in the parish of Trewalchmai who is bound in the sum of £5 to appear at the next General Quarter Sessions of the peace at Beaumaris and there to give evidence on a bill of indictment against Ellin Owen the wife of Richard Owen of Cwt y ffwl for stealing about two bushels of Barley.
