Scope and Content

DRAFT LETTER: W. P. Poole Clerk of the Peace to Mr R. B. Bate mathematical instrument maker to his Majesty's board of excise, Poultry, London, replying to his circular. The county weights were only made in 1819. He would like to know if there would be an allowance on the weights and what the price of a new set would be exclusive of the allowance.
