Scope and Content

Written from Ewart Park, Wooler, Northumberland

Enclosing a letter from an irate gentleman requesting her to refrain from flooding his home with the 'filthy literature' which he returns. She says she gets such letters sometimes. Maurice Gregory tells her the 'United Service Gazette' calls her a 'social pest'. She quotes the Psalmist 'I am become the song of the drunkard', and closes with 'God bless the Salvation Army'.
