LETTER: S. Brunner, Silloth, Cumberland to [?]. Her son has received a very nice letter from his little black boy expressing a desire to return to Silloth. She would be quite happy to offer him a home if he is a nice, honest boy. She is hopeful that she could find a job for him. She is very particular about the company her son keeps and she would feel the same way about the little black boy - she wouldn't like him to mix with the town boys. She asks for his opinion on the matter. She mentions a Mrs Howes, who apparently is not sure what to say on the subject.
