From Alford to her sister, travelling. Heard of a woman who is a good spinner and has ordered a wheel and some flax, so that she can learn spinning. Taken three rooms in shepherd's cottage fifty yards away in Aug so that she can stay there and have children and John at different times. Impressed by church at Boston, which she visited with John, and thought it equal to campanile in Florence. Also visited Heckington Church, where her parents were married.
