On being able to use her right hand quite well, [Janet] leaving five days before the end of term, having her operation, her recovery, their legacies from Mrs Holt, Almedringen's book on the Russian Revolution, having odd prophetic dreams, getting over her fear of anaesthetics, Ursula visiting a lot, being cut off from the outside world, the General Election and forfeiting her vote as only people in the forces can vote by proxy, the head of the Nursing Home, and W. G, C[ollingwood] not caring about typography.
