Ledgers constitute the most valuable source for the financial affairs of the Wood Street Mission, analysing all income and expenditure initially recorded in the books of primary entry (cash books and day books). There are four sub-series: Private Ledgers, 1897-1988 (WSM/3/1); Nominal Ledgers, 1942-1988 (WSM/3/2); Purchase Ledgers, 1919-1988 (WSM/3/3); and Other Ledgers, 1977-1985 (WSM/3/4).
