Scope and Content

[Edward Taylor Scott] to Cecil Sprigge.

He has read what he has written about Italy, but does not think that it will affect the Board's decision; they need not depend entirely on Reuter and occasional contributors. Rome may be covered as Moscow. Since he left, they have been doubtful about keeping a full-time correspondent in Rome; he has tried to impress upon Miss Saunders that she is not full-time. He thinks that it would be better to abolish the salaried post. The decision will save money.
