Includes family news, life at Wallington, management of the estate including rennovations of cottages and rebuilding works at the house, a blank invitation to Charles and Mary's silver wedding celebrations, reference to election campaigning in Newcastle upon Tyne with reference to the quality of the housing, a newspaper cutting regarding Mary's intervention at a meeting to allow Lord Adare, Charles' opponent, to speak, reference to the publication of Florence's book 'Landmarks', news of Mary's election to the National Trust committee, Hugh Bell's health and involvement with the Women's Institute.
