Scope and Content

Surrender by Thomas Gibbs of Woor [Woore], Shropshire, butcher (son and devisee of William Gibbs, late of Mottram Andrew, yeoman, deceased), to George Hunt, esq., and Thomas Hunt, esq., in trust for Mary, Countess Dowager of Stamford, of a messuage and tenement with appurtenances in Styall late in the possession of the said William Gibbs.

Attached are (a) a bond of indemnity concerning the same, 30 July 1771, and (b) a copy of the last Will and Testament of William Gibbs, 1 September 1770.
