Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Manuscript letter informing Rigby that his dispatched arrived safely. Owen asks for more details on these friends of progress. Owen says that he was pleased to learn there was so much union among so many discordant minds. However, he feels they still have a lot to learn as the true principles of permanent and universal union is not yet so well understood among them.

Owen closes the letter by expressing his sadness upon learning of the death of Mrs Wright, the wife of Mr John Wright of Glasgow.
