Scope and Content

Correspondence mainly with London County Council (LCC) and financial records. The correspondence mostly relates to financial support but some correspondence with LCC relating to other matters is also included such as electrical installation inspection reports. Various financial reports and tables relating to Sadler’s Wells and the Old Vic are also included in the file. Other items include minutes and memoranda relating to the finances and future of the Sadler’s Wells Ballet and School, minutes of deputation to LCC, copy of Charity Commission scheme

Includes two letters from the County Hall London concerning funding arrangements depending upon an Independent Commission of Inquiry. See S/SWT/2/1/2/6 for report
