File of original artwork for 'Aidan Chambers' Book of Ghosts and Hauntings', first published in 1973. The file contains 16 original line and wash illustrations, including the illustration for the book's cover. Some of the illustrations have been annotated with page numbers and reproduction sizes, but these annotations are not consistent throughout. Several of the illustrations appear to have been originally painted on a single large piece of board, which was later cut up to separate the illustrations. Consequently annotations on some of the illustrations have been cut in half. This is not a complete suite of illustrations for the book.
The illustrations are arranged in the order in which they appear in the book, and page numbers given refer to the first edition of the book.
