Correspondence is between ZK and T. W. Rackham of the Department of Astronomy at the University of Manchester and USAF personnel, mainly Colonel Walter J. Chappa, U. S. Department Air Forces, 7650th Aeronautical Chart and Information Squadron (ACIS) regarding this and other contracts from 1960 onwards, for example Contract No. AF 61 (052)-829. Also some correspondence with Patrick V. Sudbury.

The Aeronautical Chart Information Center (or ACIC) was a United States Air Force organisation headquartered in St. Louis, USA and in Europe. In August 1952, ACIC was created by merging the Aeronautical Chart and Information Service, established in Washington, D.C., and the Aeronautical Chart Plant, located in St. Louis, Missouri. The ACIC, part of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, consolidated all the services and facilities in St. Louis. In 1972, the ACIC was folded into the Defense Mapping Agency (DMA) and renamed the DMA Aerospace Center.
