The file primarily relates to a planned IAU Colloquium at Nanjing China in June 1990 and an associated visit by Kopal, to Yunnan Observatory. The Colloquium had originally been planned for 1989, but was cancelled by the organizers for political reasons. In the event, the trip was cancelled.
