Probate of Will of Richard Jenkins of Middlebank Copper Works, Llansamlet, gent., devising and bequeathing to his son John Jenkins his eight day clock and portable writing desk; to his grandson David Morgan Jenkins son of John Jenkins, his small metal watch which belonged to his son Daniel; the rest of his household furniture and effects to his wife Mary Jenkins, with the leasehold estate which he holds from Lord Vernon in Llansamlet, which is to go to his son John Jenkins after her decease, also his right to 3a of land in Aberavon, as a burgess of Aberavon, to his wife; also to his sons Elias, Samuel and John and to Mary Jenkins, widow of his son John, £5 each; to his wife the profits from the sloop Albion in Cardigan, for her life, and then to Elias and John after her decease; the rest of his estate to be divided into quarters, between Elias Jenkins, John Jenkins, Samuel Jenkins and the children of his deceased son Thomas Jenkins. made 24 June 1817, proved 23 Sept. 1818
