RELEASE of the sums of £500 and £100 directed to be raised out of certain estates detailed in the will of Evan Protheroe, esquire, deceased. Recites that Thomas Makeig (eldest son of John Makeig of Cardigan) died without issue, his share under the will aforesaid came to his sister Elizabeth Makeig (eldest daughter of said John Makeig of Cardigan) now wife of John Protheroe. That Elizabeth Protheroe, widow of testator, died upwards of two years ago, whereupon Evan Jones took the surname of Protheroe.
