Printed text of "The devil of Tinkerton" (Dryden from Chaucer) pasted on f.21r from back. Engraved diagrams pasted on a front and a back flyleaf. Inscription by B. Coles (a nephew) on another front flyleaf. Record of purchase of the volume by R. Brown from Benjamin Coles, 8 August 1754, on another back flyleaf. 19th-century signature "Jas. Langlands" on front pastedown, which also bears ownership address label of Mrs V.J. Dawson, Southam nr. Cheltenham, 14 May 1965. The volume is bound in 18th-century red morocco gilt, but with back board and its flyleaves nearly detached.
