Administrative / Biographical History
Founded in 1857 and incorporated by a special act of parliament in 1863. Amalgamated with the Radio and Electronic Officers' Union and the Merchant Navy and Airline Officers' Association in June 1985 to form the National Union of Marine, Aviation and Shipping Transport Officers.
