      The Archives and Special Collections are located on the fourth floor of the University Library.
  • Opening Hours
    • During term time: Tues, Weds and Thurs 10am - 4pm (Note: An appointment must be made if you wish to consult archive material.) Outside term time: open by appointment only.
  • Access Information
      The Archives and Special Collections are open for use to all students, staff and external visitors.Archives, manuscripts and artefacts are available for consultation by appointment only; we require a 24 hour notice. (Please note that you need to contact us by Thursday afternoon if you wish to visit us on the following Tuesday.) Books can be viewed without an appointment at any time during the archive opening hours.

      Some documents can be digitised on request; this is dependent on the size, content and condition of the documents and is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

  • Archival and Other Holdings

    The Archives and Special Collections consist of rare books, original documents and artefacts which support various teaching and research areas of the University of Roehampton. The collections relate to Friedrich Froebel and the kindergarten, Froebel College at the University, Children’s Literature and the children’s book author Richmal Crompton, Dance, and to a number of other areas including Religious Studies.
