Reminiscences by J. B. Jeffreys entitled Tales from University Life, A Tasteof Politics (or how to get arrested without really trying) and Academicsagainst Fascism? (The sad story of the gifts by Hitler to the University ofLondon). They include an account of Jeffrey's arrest at the Mosley meetingat Olympia in June 1934 and an attempt to rally support by LSE historiansagainst the acceptance of a gift by Ribbentrop to the University of London.

James Bavington Jeffreys fl 1933-1989
Jeffreys was a student at the LSE from 1933 to 1937 or 1938.Jeffreys wasarrested at a meeting held by fascist Oswald Mosley (1896-1980) for theBritish Union of Fascists at Olympia on 7 June 1934 and tried to rallysupport by LSE historians against the acceptance of a gift by Joachim vonRibbentrop (1893-1946), the German Ambassador to Britain from 1936 to 1938,to the University of London Library.
