Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Co-operative Wholesale Society operated nine hotels that were part of the TRAVCO Group. They acquired these either directly or through merger with other societies.
The Co-operative News is a weekly newspaper for co-operators that started in 1871 and still exists today.

Depositted to the National Co-operative Archive by Karen Froggatt, Co-operative Group, March 2008. The Co-operative Group received the items from a former employee of River and District Co-operative Society.
