Working Together: Oral History Interviews

Scope and Content

These oral history interviews were collated as part of the Working Together project (2017-2018), which set out to record and preserve the heritage of the workers' co-operative movement. These interviews cover the personal experiences of those involved in the movement, specifically focusing on the 1970s-1990s.

Arrangement

Material has been ordered in a largely chronological order of the date that the interview was recorded. There is some discrepancy to this system where permissions for the interviews were obtained at a later date.

Access Information

Some restrictions due to data protection. Some of the recordings and transcripts are only accessible at the National Co-operative Archive.

Acquisition Information

In October 2017, the National Co-operative Archive published a call-out for oral histories from individuals in the wider worker co-op community for Working Together, a Heritage Lottery Funded project seeking to record and preserve the heritage of the worker co-operative movement. This material was recorded and deposited in response to this call out.

These interviews have been licensed under a Creative Commons license (Attribution, Non-Commercial, No Derivatives)
