Hand-made dummy created by Charlotte Hough for an apparently unpublished picture book about the exploits of two children, Mike and Elspeth, who live next door to each other. The dummy, which has no title, is executed in watercolour, pen and ink, with typed text either typed directly onto the pages or cut and pasted into position. Several of the pages bear pencil annotations in Hough's hand.
