One postcard is also signed by Joanna Hague and David Jones. The correspondence from 1936 to 1939 largely concerns the gravestone for G. K. and Frances Chesterton at Beaconsfield, which was designed by Eric Gill. One letter from Gill published in F. McCarthy, Eric Gill (1989), p. 179.

One letter from Chesterton is an incomplete draft, and others are later typewritten copies of which six are published in Ward, Gilbert Keith Chesterton, pp. 391-394, one in The Tablet, vol. 213, no. 6225 (12 Sept. 1959), p. 758, and one in M. Ffinch, op. cit., p. 326.
