With a typewritten list of the drawings commissioned for The Postmaster-General, annotated by Belloc; of the drawings in this list, those numbered 5, 8, 28-31, 33, 38 are not present, nor do they appear in the published text; those numbered 2, 3, 10, 12, 27 are present but do not appear in the published text; those numbered 9, 11, 20, 22, 25, 32, 38 are not present but appear in the published text (save that a draft of part of no. 32 appears on the verso of no. 27). Drawings for the frontispiece and the illustration on p. 223 of the published text are present, but not on the typewritten list Other drafts (one of no. 23) are also in the collection. The illustrations for The Hedge and the Horse are wanting those for the frontispiece and for the illustrations on pp. 38, 83, 152, 168 and 194 of the book, but include drafts of the frontispiece and of some other illustrations.
