1. ff. 1-97. Correspondence between Dorothy Collins and Maisie Ward, D. B. Wyndham Lewis and Oxford University Press, concerning the selection of material, publication and printing of G. K. Chesterton: an Anthology; 1954-1957. The book was originally to have been published by Penguin Books, who withdrew in late 1955, correspondence concerning which is contained in the correspondence of Dorothy Collins with Messrs A. P. Watt and Son in Add. 73222. Correspondence concerning a different Penguin anthology compiled by Wilfrid Sheed is contained in ff. 116-124v below, and in correspondence with Messrs A. P. Watt and Son in Add. 73224.

2. ff. 98-115. Dorothy Collins's working papers and correspondence with Messrs Sheed and Ward concerning an anthology from Chesterton's articles in The Daily News, initially entitled 'The Inn of fat men' and 'The Saturday column', and published as Lunacy and Letters; [1957]-1958.

3. ff. 116-124v. Correspondence between Dorothy Collins and Maisie Ward and Wilfrid Sheed on the publication of an anthology Essays and Poems, edited by Wilfrid Sheed (Harmondsworth, 1958) (Sullivan, no. 876); [1956-1957].

4. ff. 125-138. Dorothy Collins's working papers and correspondence with Messrs Sheed and Ward concerning a further anthology of Chesterton's articles in The Daily News to be entitled 'The Saturday column'; 1960. This was rejected by Sheed and Ward, and a revised selection (ff. 136-138) was sent to Messrs A. P. Watt and Son, but was also rejected by both Messrs Methuen and Messrs Chatto and Windus, see Add. 73225.

5. ff. 139-142. Dorothy Collins's working papers for a collection to be entitled 'Where all roads lead'; circa 1960-1961. Offered to Messrs Sheed and Ward, but only the essay from which the collection took its title was published, by the Catholic Truth Society, in 1961.

6. ff. 143-173. Correspondence between Dorothy Collins and Cedric Percival Davies, 2nd Baron Darwen, of Messrs Darwen Finlayson, concerning a collected edition of reprints of Chesterton's works; 1962-1971. Includes a typewritten copy, with amendments, of a preface by Dorothy Collins for the reprint of A Miscellany of Men (ff. 155-157).

7. ff. 174-187. Dorothy Collins's working papers and correspondence with Cedric Percival Davies, 2nd Baron Darwen, of Messrs Darwen Finlayson, concerning publication of The Spice of Life; 1964.
