The books of prime entry provide information on all aspects of the purchase, processing and sale of cotton yarn. This class comprises an interesting series of volumes relating to sales of cotton through various agents and another series relating to the production of yarn. Books of prime entry provide more detail than the journal or ledger, but are more difficult to use as they are arranged in a purely chronological format.
