Note on some human cremation of Romano-British date from Puckeridge, Hertfordshire. Typescript, handwritten notes and research notes, including tables with further information on individual inhumations. Summary of findings: The 92 urns from this site contain remains of no more than 92 skeletons. Series A likely all female (100%), Series B is more ambiguous, female or possibly female (52.5%) male or possibly male (42.5%), Series SG female or possibly female (45%) male or possibly male (47.5%). Age: A Elderly (20%) Adult (80%), B Young adult (15%) Adult (60%) Elderly (25%), SG Young adult (30%) Adult (60%) Elderly (10%). Pathology: As in most early skeletal material the commonest pathological conditions at Puckeridge were osteophytosis and osteoarthritis. [Further details on individual inhumations provided in report]
