Scope and Content

B&W photographic print. 'The three women wear carnelian bead necklaces typical for the Ao. Two of them wear brass spirals at the side of their heads (yongmen) which indicate that they belong to Pongen or Longkum phratry. The woman in the middle wears earornaments usually made of cristal (tongbang). This photograph is probably not taken by J.P. Mills as it is not his handwriting on the back.'
