Scope and Content

B&W photographic print. 'This small boy is the son of a Gaonbura (a government's post). His parents being well-to-do, he wears thick brass necklets and a long necklace of the inner part of the conch shell. In his earlobes are ornaments of dog's hair and small black hornbill feathers. His clothing consists only of a string around his hips and a scrap of cloth hanging down in front.'
