Lanu's house

Scope and Content

B&W photographic print. 'Lanu's house of the Mongsen group. The roof ridge forms a projecting gable supported by poles. The walls are of woven split bamboo, as are the floors, except for that of the outer room which is of beaten earth. As in all Naga houses, there are no windows, and the only light enters by the front and back doors.'
