This item is predominantly comprised of book reviews, reprints of journal articles by Leslie Hilliard and newspaper cuttings. Three pieces are concerned with reviews of Mental Deficiency (1st and 2nd editions) by Leslie Hilliard and Brian Kirman, published in 1957 and 1965 respectively. There is also a blue notebook containing cuttings of reviews written by Leslie Hilliard between 1941-1960. The rest of the material consists of article reprints, reviews of Hilliard's work, newspaper cuttings and some letters relating to reviews. There is a small amount of material which relates to aspects of Hilliard's work elsewhere in this collection; they include the Fountain Hospital, his Professorship in Toronto, news from the World Health Organisation and from his visits to Ceylon [Sri Lanka], India and Hong Kong.
