Scope and Content

Covers developments in the understanding, care and treatment of mental and nervous disorders in recent years and the reasons behind the increse in admissions to mental hospitals.

Includes a sheet of paper with rough notes (possible hospital admission numbers) written on the reverse of a hand-out with an overview of the names and times of 2 weeks of lectures for the Postgraduate course in Psychological Medicine at the Department of Psychological Medicine at the University of Glasgow. Classes include: legal and administrative psychiatry, mental defect, psychosomatics, psychopathy, social psychiatry. It does seem to appear that these topics were taught on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
